Arizona Capitol Museum

November 3, 2018 – December 14, 2018

Presented in Arizona, this major exhibition brought together approximately forty of Piyun Chu’s traditional Chinese paintings, highlighting her expressive landscapes, floral studies, and refined ink-brush techniques. The exhibition was attended by the Mayor of Phoenix, Arizona state senators, and other elected officials and public representatives, reflecting its cultural significance and strong community support. The presentation also carried special meaning within the longstanding sister-city relationship between Phoenix and Taipei, established in 1979, further strengthening the exhibition’s connection to Taiwanese culture and international exchange. A related three-week presentation was displayed at Phoenix City Hall during the Christmas season, extending the exhibition’s reach and introducing a wider audience to the enduring beauty of traditional Chinese painting.
